About us

From simple beginnings in Bergen through more than two decades of uninterrupted growth, StormGeo has become a respected leader in weather intelligence and advanced data science worldwide. StormGeo’s years of experience has provided an in-depth knowledge and understanding of our clients’ work environments. We are fine-tuned to provide solutions that give our clients the competitive advantage they need to meet the challenges of a quickly changing global land- and seascape. This places StormGeo in the heart of two of the strongest trends of the 21st century: climate change and digitalization.

StromGeo Nena StormGeo Nena is a leading analysis house delivering energy market insights. We supply power market analysis to energy majors, utilities, funds, banks, shipping companies and private investors who want to strengthen their focus in commodity trading or require advice on investments.

StormGeo Nena builds fundamental models and methods with strong emphasis on a combination of economic theory, market models, weather impacts and marginal cost calculations. All price forecasts are solely based on in-house developed models to avoid any black boxes. Our approach relies on basic supply and demand modelling as well as advanced optimization tools.

By combining our trading-based analysis tools with a holistic view on global commodity markets, we aim to provide a clearer picture of the global energy complex. Our analyses reveal coherence between numerous price drivers, enabling us to explain substitution pricing, and ultimately consequences for future pricing of various commodities.

Our first clients from 1997 have continuously been using our expertise and analyses in their daily core business related to energy markets, and new clients continue to express their fascination for our views and advice.
